Pinewood Derby

No event is more iconic to Scouting than the Pinewood Derby. Itis one of the most popular and successful family activities in Cub Scouting. Pinewood derby cars are small wooden models that Cub Scouts make with help from their families. Then they race the cars in competition. The cars are powered by gravity and run down a track. Every boy or girl can design and build his or her own "grand prix" car to enter in the race.

Be sure to review and follow the Pinewood Derby Rules. (Disregard the $5.00 license fee, which does not apply to the Pack Pinewood Derby -- it applies only if your car wins a berth at the District race).
