Rocket Launch

dsc_0108The moment a boy understands what a rocket is, he begins to think about launching one himself. How may parents have personally witnessed their son flying pretend rockets around the house? Cub Scouts provides an opportunity to build and launch your very own rocket! Every Scout is given an easy-to-build model rocketry kit. After our rocket check-in and safety check, we meet at a local park, where each boy not only launches his own rocket, but chases it down in an attempt to catch it before landing on the ground. Scouts are also encouraged to bring any special rockets they may have built over the years, so they can launch them during the event.
